Executive Director Transition
After 13 years of dedicated leadership, Lolly Rash will conclude her service as Mississippi Heritage Trust’s executive director on December 31, 2026. We are deeply grateful for Lolly’s commitment to Mississippi’s historic places and the communities working to preserve them. Her leadership has strengthened MHT’s advocacy, education and support for preservation efforts across the state.
Lolly plans to continue working with MHT to help communities preserve historic places and bring new life to buildings that connect people to their history. Her experience, relationships and commitment to Mississippi will remain valuable in the years ahead.
Our talented staff and consulting team will continue advancing MHT’s mission alongside the local preservationists, property owners, donors and partners who make this work possible.
Selecting Our Next Executive Director
The Board of Trustees is leading the selection process, beginning with consideration of qualified internal candidates. Other interested candidates may also submit materials for consideration. Candidates will be evaluated against the position’s qualifications and MHT’s leadership needs, with the final appointment made by the full Board.
The next executive director will lead MHT’s advocacy, programs, fundraising and operations, working with the Board, staff and partners to save and renew places meaningful to Mississippians and their history.
