Colorful, Thoughtful, Joyous
The Mississippi Heritage Trust, in partnership with Governor and Mrs. Phil Bryant, is proud to announce the publication of the 2015 This Place Matters calendar, filled with beautiful artwork by talented young artists depicting historic places that matter in Mississippi. We are grateful to our friends at Sanderson Farms and Hederman Brothers Printing for helping to make the calendar possible, and to Dominique Pugh, wife of our incoming president Brian Pugh, for her creative approach to sharing these engaging works of art.
The calendars will be going out to friends and members of the Mississippi Heritage Trust just in time for Christmas. If you would like to receive this lovely gift, become a member of the Mississippi Heritage Trust and we will pop one in the mail to you. Better yet, give gift memberships to the Mississippi Heritage Trust to all your loved ones this year and they will receive a letter welcoming them as a member, along with their very own copy of the This Place Matters calendar-I can’t think of anything nicer that you could do for a fellow building-hugger. For a look at the buildings that inspire our future preservationists to take up pencil, marker or crayon, please peruse the This Place Matters art gallery here on our website. As we embark on yet another year of preservation challenges, I hope you will take a moment to revel in the colorful, thoughtful and joyous art created by the young people who are poised to take up the challenge of protecting the places that tell the story of Mississippi.
